How does GC service work?

Overall, a general contractor is responsible for planning, executing, overseeing, and inspecting your project to industry standards, including finding the best materials suited for your needs and according to your budget. This is why we always encourage our clients to hire a general contractor, to prevent possible headaches and to complete with excellence a renovation. We have been hired in the past for several reasons, one of them, because our clients thought they could manage and organized different subs themselves. The end result, they found themselves in big setbacks, over priced budgets, and jobs not done to industry standards.

But how do we price this service?

A lot of our clients think, that overseen a renovation project, is very simple, when in reality is not. Many even think that you just have to call in  the trade to do your project, and let them do their job. The reality is, general Contracting is more than that. A general contractor, (if he or she is well established), will have strong long relationships with all his trades, to not only bring a reliable people to your home, but to also schedule and move tradesman around schedule, by accomplishing a project run on time, smoothly and with excellence. There is a lot of organizing involved, as well as basic knowledge to accomplish a project to industry standard, as to why, we always suggest our potential clients to hire a General Contractor no matter what, this will save you any headaches, and Reno disasters.

And finally when it comes to pricing (our projects no matter how the big project is), we have an overhead to pay..this will reflect our pricing-budgets: WCB, liability insurance, Gas expense, CPP and EI for employees, benefits to keep our employees in our company, rentals, buy latest tools, advertisement, our profit and the most important one of all, OUR TIME and expertise. All these factors and others affect our pricing, so rest assured that no matter what,  when we price your budget, (and if you hire us), you will be paying for quality, and efficiency at a fair value price.

We always hear "quality for cheap", when in reality this is the total opposite of what quality is all about. You want to pay for quality and efficiency? there is a formula we use:

CHEAP QUALITY + FAST =  BAD QUALITY

GOOD QUALITY.  + CHEAP = BAD QUALITY

GOOD QUALITY   + STEADY/EFFICIENCY = GOOD QUALITY
